The Consultative Committee

About the Consultative Committee

The Consultative Committee brings together people with diverse experience of and expertise in issues affecting people with disability, who are committed to ensuring the safety and quality of NDIS supports and services.

The Consultative Committee connects people from the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission with stakeholders to ensure that the voice of the participant is considered as part of the decision-making process.

The composition of the Consultative Committee is a mix of participants, peaks, workers, disability representative organisations and stakeholders, and reflects sector and geographic diversity. Please see The Consultative Committee for the new membership.

Following an overwhelmingly positive response to the Commission’s Expression of Interest process for members to join the Consultative Committee, we are making sure to optimise the opportunity to include as many people as possible.

The Committee will be supported by three advisory groups:

  • Participant Advisory Group
  • Provider Advisory Group
  • Complaints Advisory Group

For more information on the Consultative Committee please see the Terms of Reference, Terms of Reference – easy read and Auslan version of the Terms of Reference.

If you have any questions about the Consultative Committee or are interested in joining one of the Advisory Groups, please email committee@ndiscommission.gov.au or call or text 1800 035 544.
